*NY County Highlights** (Summer)*: Bald Eagle (1 juvenile), Killdeer (2), Least Sandpiper (25+) & Semipalmated Sandpiper (15+).
Main focus was shorebirds. Watched the mudflats from near low tide at 12:45p to near high tide (~3.5 feet) at 4:30p when the last of the Semipalmated Sandpipers flew off. The section on the east edge of the phragmites on the south side of the creek is the highest part of the mudflats where the Least and Semipalmated Sandpipers finished the day.
