Birders, See the below link for Seatuck's 4th Annual Birding Challenge taking place on September 9, 2017.
The event is a 12 hour (5am to 5pm) big day for all countable birds found in Brooklyn, Queens, Nassau and Suffolk. Teams of 3 or more are welcome. The event is immediately followed by a dinner reception at Seatuck's Scully Estate in Islip, for awards, a recap of the day's highlights, and sharing of war stories, etc. All proceeds support Seatuck's conservation work. The findings on this big day count, now in its fourth year, are beginning to establish an interesting fall record of Long Island birds, similar to a Christmas Count. Those of you who have participated before know that this is a fun day for all involved.
