I currently have a female Yellow-headed Blackbird in Oakwood Beach, Staten Island.
It is feeding with a flock of Red-winged Blackbirds and Brown-headed Cowbirds. They are moving between a cleared housing plot (Hurricane Sandy Recover area) and the marsh bordering the neighborhood. Given its proximity to Great Kills Park, this could be the same bird that was found by Dr. Veit last week.
