A second hand report came in today that the Gyrfalcon paid a visit to the State Line Lookout along the Palisades in NJ this afternoon. When the bird departed it flew east across the river over Yonkers. Gyrfalcons cover a tremendous area and it is well worth checking areas along the Hudson on the NY side as well as areas of concentrated gulls and waterfowl in the western corner of the LI Sound.
