Sorry for the late report, but this bird was a lifer for me and I needed to 
confirm its ID as I was skeptical at first.  I had 5 American Pipits (all 
together) by the swail at Jones Beach.  Thanks to Rob Taylor and I believe ?Bob 
Adamo? for the tip as I was scoping a large flock of snow buntings.  Negative 
on the lark sparrow today, the wind seemed to keep many of the sparrows in the 
bushes, I only had 3 or 4 song sparrows by the grassy roadside and some 
American tree sparrows. Yellow-rumps were zipping by as usual. I will post pics 
to Facebook later tonight.
