It's nearing 70 degrees in NY with Christmas around the corner there's certainly a lethargic feeling to that if not quite ennui; at Mariandale conference center off Rte. 9 Ossining in a sizable raft of scaup I picked out 5 canvasback (4 drake). Heard redhead duck were seen earlier in week; I didn't notice any. Croton Point Park seems bereft of birds.
