Northern Shoveler - 13 on the Lake Cooper's Hawk - subadult near Evodia Field and juvenile catching a Common Grackle in Strawberry Fields Red-headed Woodpecker - hatch-year bird continues at the Oven Red-bellied Woodpecker Downy Woodepcker Northern Flicker Black-capped Chickadee Tufted Titmouse Winter Wren Ruby-crowned Kinglet - Sparrow Rock & Stone Arch (another yesterday 11/14) Hermit Thrush - several Fox Sparrow (Jeff Ward) Song Sparrow - several Swamp Sparrow Dark-eyed Junco Rusty Blackbird - Oven and Laupot Bridge - 3 or 4 House Finch Purple Finch - everyone seems to have seen these today in various locations American Goldfinch I found a Red-breasted Nuthatch at the Pinetum after lunch. Jeff Ward reported an American Kestrel and a Pied-billed Grebe at the Reservoir after lunch. Pine Siskin reported at Azalea Pond by Judy Chen. Andrea Hessel reported a Golden-crowned Kinglet. No reports of large nocturnal raptors in Central Park today.
