Phil Uruburu and I were birding on the Cupsogue flats today. He called my attention to a bird which we studied and I photographed [ poorly]

It is a basic plumaged bird which we believe to have narrowed down to either Curlew Sandpiper or Dunlin.

I have posted photos to my flicker account for anyone who wishes to view them and weigh in on the ID.

Probability leans towards Dunlin. However this time period is when other sightings of CUSA have occurred here in the past FWIW
