This is the second year that this happens in Sterling Forest. Last year, they did replace the cables in the powerline towers from Ringwood (NJ) to Warwick (NY) and it was done in late spring, early summer during the nesting season. This year they have been working in the same areas (cleaning the dirt roads for the jeeps and maintenance vehicles). I was there yesterday and they were doing the same thing that Dawn has described. I was told that they would be working in the area for the rest of the week.
