Hoping for another glimpse of the snowy owl that was still present near Lazy Point last weekend, I found a FOS Eastern Willet instead. Time to move on from wintering birds apparently! Other weekend highlights were at least four very active male woodcocks at Poxabogue park last Sunday evening, and continuing snipes, killdeer, great egrets, a few lingering Bonaparte's gulls and a flock of 30 or so green winged teal on Georgica Cove. Osprey are also active over Georgica.
