I posted a Barrow's Goldeneye picture, taken Sat. Feb 28, on my web site http://www.stevewalternature.com/ . This is the one from Staten Island's Moravian Cemetery (any other one in the area would look the period at the end of this sentence).
On my way back, I stopped off to look for the Mew Gull off the Belt Parkway, with the predictable result for someone not named Shane. The Iceland Gull is still there, though. At Floyd Bennet Field, I never saw more than two Rough-legged Hawks at a time, but looking at the pictures indicates three different ones. I'm getting a little bored with the color morph breakdowns. I found it more interesting that these were an adult male, an adult female, and an immature - but for the record, all light morphs. Also of interest, was a Great Horned Owl found by Ron Bourqe (or found by crows for Ron) - always noteworthy along the shore.
