Also two different WESTERN SANDPIPERS, seen about two hours after high tide in the raunt area. One was easily recognized on color. The other was scoped by Rich Fried (along with Anders Peltomaa). Rich picked it out on size, and also noted that it was a bit darker backed than the Semis. This was a male, so no obvious bill. But close inspection revealed some chevrons along the flanks and a hint of rufous still present on the back.

Adding to the diversity of shorebird species were the discovery of several Long-billed Dowitchers. At least 3 were on the pond. Two different for sure on the North End. One found by Seth and Corey and I had another further south. Observed both birds on the west side of the pond. While observing one bird Steve Walter, reported on on the south end near the Raunt. Hence, the chance of 3 LBDO in total. Other notables such as STILT AND PECTORAL SANDPIPERS continued on the South and North end.
