A quick outing with my wife turned up a Lesser Black-backed Gull (I am completely guessing but I think 3rd winter plumage) in the puddles at Field 7 at Heckscher.
Other spots like Lakeland County Park have yet to turn up anything too noteworthy besides typical migrants such as extremely cooperative Pine Warblers and Northern-rough wing swallows. Pics of the Gull are here, feel free to try to turn it into something more exotic: https://www.flickr.com/photos/91803891@N08/13917345094/ -Dave -- NYSbirds-L List Info: http://www.NortheastBirding.com/NYSbirdsWELCOME http://www.NortheastBirding.com/NYSbirdsRULES http://www.NortheastBirding.com/NYSbirdsSubscribeConfigurationLeave.htm ARCHIVES: 1) http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/maillist.html 2) http://www.surfbirds.com/birdingmail/Group/NYSBirds-L 3) http://birdingonthe.net/mailinglists/NYSB.html Please submit your observations to eBird: http://ebird.org/content/ebird/ --
