Hello Everyone, My cousin Deb Robertaccio of Hampton Bays has phoned to tell of seeing her first Osprey yesterday at 4:45 pm. She was crossing the overpass of the Peconic River just south of Indian Island Golf Course when the bird flew by. Good March Birding to All, Carl Starace , Longmont, Colorado p.s. miss my birding compatriots on L.I. , also the myriad coastal waterbirds that winter brings. Yesterday's highlight walking a trail at a place called Rabbit Mountain was being literally surrounded/stunned by Mountain Bluebirds, 26 in all. Many of them hovering like Kestrals.
