Dec. 2, 2013 After some searching I found the N. Shrike at 3:30 in the Fisherman's Parking lot just past the Coast Guard station. After talking to people in the west end of Jones Beach I believe that there are at least 6 Snowy Owls in the Jones Beach/Point Lookout area. Some owls were found east of west end 1 while others were west of west end 2. The easiest view of an owl was the one perched on top of the last and tallest building in Point Lookout. It was on top of the dome cover for the telescope. From there the Snowy had a complete view of the entire area. Best Joe Giunta
