Sue and I spent the morning birding at Caumsett State Park. Highlights included
two calling Common Ravens flying over the parking lot soon after we arrived,
and an immature Red-headed Woodpecker on the west side of the Fishing Road.
Other species of note included a male Wood Duck engaging in courtship behavior
with an American Coot (that would be some interesting looking progeny) on Fresh
Pond, two Snow Geese with the numerous Canada's, Eastern Phoebe (1), and
Purple Finch (2).
