If you need your November Marbled Godwit, I saw one today from the
observation platform a little West of Pikes Beach near Cupsogue Beach
(Suffolk) County Park around 10:30 this morning. In that area were also
lots of Dunlin, Sanderlings, Black-bellied Plovers, and one each Forster's
and Royal Tern. Earlier I found the same shorebirds (minus the godwit) on
the flats at Cupsogue, plus one Greater Yellowlegs and one Semipalmated
Plover.

I was surprised to find three godwits at this spot as late as two weeks ago
on 27 October, and more surprised to find still there today.
