Congrats Ken on a very nice find. I along with many others that included Bobby Rossetti, Eric Miller, Isaac Grant, Harry Taylor, Ed Becher and I am sure others who I did not see at the sites, split up and tried to cover the beach areas from fields 2 - 5. Eric and I got as far east as about 1/2 a mile maybe more...past the lighthouse on the beach side taking in some rain in the process but all the while hoping the weather would force more birds inland.
Alas, although we found a few Laughing Gull flocks, with one numbering over 100, we did not find our target bird. However, like Ken indicated, I would not assume this bird is gone and encourage seekers to study Ken's photos well and continue the quest as there were a lot of gulls offshore including who knows what other goodies. Cheers!
