VESPER SPARROW present in the field across the street, east side of Oakland Lake (Queens) early this afternoon. On the lake, seasonal change is happening. Winter water birds are replacing the likes of Great Blue Heron and Great Egret, together known as the Oakland Waders (sorry, I had to get that in).
