Beautiful birding day at NYBG. A three hour tour of the Garden produced the following birds;
Black throated blue-1 Northern Parula-1 Common Yellowthroat-1 Yellow rumped -2 Sparrows (all spotted in new Native Plant Garden) Clay-1 Field -3 White crowned -3 Chipping-many Song-4 Swamp-2 Eastern Towhee-2 Scarlet Tanager-1 female American Goldfinch-15+ Red tailed hawk-1 Rose breasted grosbeak -1 Belted Kingfisher-1 Wood duck-8 Mallard-12 Ruby crowned kinglet-3 Mockingbird-1 Catbird-5 American robins-17 Yellow bellied sapsucker-3 Mourning dove-7 Red bellied woodpecker -1 Eastern phoebe-2 Northern flicker-2 Blue jay-2 Cardinal-1 Junco (heard) Thank you to the people who responded to my email about the "stunned" bird.
