At 7:10 PM, a large group of Common Nighthawks erupted out of the Brown's River's East Branch while looking south on Middle Road in Sayville.
I tallied 64 individuals as the group swept across the river, circling from east to west. This is the largest group of Common Nighthawks that I've recorded from this location.
