The 2nd day, of my at least 40th lifetime diet, was ambitious in it's
schedule:
1) Alarm clock, 0645 wake-up.
2) Breakfast, 0655 - 0715.
3) Work-out, "eliptical", Club House Gym, 0730-0753.
4) Weekly Condo Horseshoe Tournament, 0900 - 1050 (won by Pete C. & I)
5) Return home to do chores, 1055 - only 1110...cut very short, due to
checking the internet before starting the manual labor - Yes !!!

Arriving at the Oregon Rd., Cutchogue sod field, I found Jody Levin & Hank
Bohne looking for the Upland Sandpiper. After awhile, we found the bird off
the sod, in the rough grass bordering it's e/side. Pat Palladino and 2
others (names ?) arrived very shortly afterward, with all getting fine
looks at the bird.

Pat and I then headed west, first enjoying a *roasted* ear of corn (a
"lifer" for Pat) from a farm stand en-route, before stopping at a
Northville farm pond and finding a Solitary Sandpiper, 2 Spotted Sandpipers
(both in basic plumage) and a flock of ~ 25 feeding swallows, mostly tree,
with some barn among them.

We then hit all the sod fields in the Riverhead Trapezium, with ~ 12
Kildeers being the only shorebirds found.

Cheers,
Bob
