A few days ago I made an incorrect post of a breeding plumage Western Sandpiper
at Pike's Beach. I initially struggled with the ID due to the off size and
plumage (especially the Pectoral-like breast markings), but lazily backed into
Western Sandpiper as the likeliest candidate - wrong. I heard about a hydrid
Dunlin-White-rumped but only just saw a picture now on Andrew Baksh's website,
and realized it was the same bird. Apologies for any confusion caused by my
post, but anyone lucky enough to find this bird saw something more interesting
than a Western. Very good ID by the Andrews, very bad ID by me
