Spent Wednesday morning through early afternoon and 3 hours Thursday morning
birding in Brooklyn and Big Egg Marsh in Queens (where I ran into Eric Miller).

Few highlights were:

5/28
Calvert Vaux Park (Drier-Offermann)

1 Mourning Warbler (seen singing)

Coney Island 37th Street Jetty

2 Black Scoters (females close flybys)
~ 140 Common Tern feeding close to shore

Plum Beach

1 Clapper Rail
79 Semipalmated SP
 4   Ruddy Turnstone
 2  Short- Billed Dowitcher

Floyd Bennett:
1 Alder Flycatcher (seen and heard singing - recorded)- Camp Tammarack
1 YB Cuckoo

Big Egg Marsh:

2250 Semipalmated SP (SESA)
13 Dunlin
1 American Golden Plover

The SESA were all in one tight group on shore at the base of the Cross Bay
Bridge. I assume the AMGP is the one reported last week but it has come into
even better plumage with extensive black reaching into and including the vent.
I actually only caught it flying but the svelte darkish body with golden flecks
on back with no black armpits or white stripe on side and the extensive black
underneath were enough for me.
If anyone cares to hear the Alder call I can e-mail it privately. I can't
figure out how to link to an iPhone audio file.

5/29

Prospect Park

1 Alder Flycatcher (singing Lookout Hill)
1 Acadian Flycatcher (Quaker Ridge)
1 female Blackburnian
