Birding was superb today in Brooklyn's Prospect Park with over 20 warbler
species seen altogether; I personally had 17. The Yellow-throated Warbler
continues and new notables include Blackburnian and Cape May Warblers. 5 Vireo
species, Yellow-billed Cuckoo, flyover Little Blue Heron and Broad-winged Hawk,
Solitary and Spotted Sandpipers and others also showed up today.

Tomorrow in Brooklyn we are having our Birdathon to raise money to help
replace some trees felled during Hurricane Sandy on Lookout Hill in Prospect
Park. Wish us good birds, we are all glad they finally arrived.
