Since no one posted from late yesterday, I figured I would. The Say's Phoebe was enjoyed by many yesterday afternoon as it actively did its flycatching thing around the Sumac area. , but suddenly around 5:05 p.m. it picked up and flew off heading in a South Easterly direction.
Despite coverage by several birders, we did not locate the bird and when I left Prospect Park around 6:30 p.m. it still had not been re-found. A good strategy in looking for this bird today, might be to start at the Sumac location (see Peter's link below). A very nice bird for Brooklyn and many thanks to Tom Burke and Gail Benson who stayed with the bird until I showed up after making the run from LI.
