Not a field report, but I felt it important to share, for those us who bird Forest Park in Queens. It is bad enough we have to deal with the nefarious activities that take place unabated near the water hole in Forest Park. Now, birders will have to be extra careful when birding in the park, especially women who bird alone. I suggest to bird the park in small groups and always remain alert to what takes place nearby. See below the e-mail that was sent to me and posted to eBirds regarding a female jogger being attacked in Forest Park Queens. Thanks to Mr. O'brien who brought this to my attention.

Of note were several Hairy Woodpeckers, American Goldfiches (some coming into nice color) and a flock of 15 Rusty Blackbirds.
