At 12:35 this afternoon I had a single DOVEKIE flying east to west less than
100 yards off of Old Field Point in Setauket.

There were also 6 RAZORBILLS (4 on the water, 2 fly-by).

A
2nd or 3rd winter LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL (heavily marked head and
neck, white tail, no white on primary tips, dull legs) was feeding on
the shore below the barbed-wire fence at the end of Old Field Rd. Photos

An OYSTERCATCHER also flew east to west past the point.

The previously reported RED-NECKED GREBE continued yesterday at sunset.  I did
not see it today.

Happy Holidays,

Peter
