At 3:46 pm today Robb Jett posted this on the BKBIRD text alert system:

<<<
RobJett:
LeConte's Sparrow at Floyd Bennett 100 yds west of end of Archery Rd.
I marked area with large log across path >>>

It occurred to me that not all interested parties subscribe to that service and
so I am cross posting here.

I wasn't with Rob when he found the Le Conte's, and didn't see it myself, but I
was with him and Heydi Lopes earlier in the day when eagle-eyed Rob picked a
Dickcissel and a Philadelphia Vireo out of a large, fast-moving mixed flock of
sparrows, buntings and vireos in the vine-covered trees and scrub of the North
Forty. At the time he found the
LCSP I was sitting in a French bistro in Manhattan. C'est la vie...

An excellent annotated map of Floyd Bennett can be found on Robs blog The City
Birder.
