Hello everyone, My name is John Martino, I'm 62 years old and retired for nine years now. I started bird watching in April of this year and really enjoying getting out, traveling, meeting people, and ofcoarse observing birds. I live in the Bronx, Throggs Neck and frequent Pelham Bay Park and Orchard beach when parking is free in the off season. I use a Nikon D60 with a 55-300mm lens for my bird photography and a pair of Nikon Prostaff 7 Binoculars. This morning I took a walk at Pelham Bay Park here in the Bronx and observed Robins, Starlings, a variety of sparrows (sorry I don't know the different species of Sparrows yet), and I also saw a beautiful Cardinal near the Victory memorial in the trees just before the landfill. Another favorite spot for me is Rockefeller State Park and Preserve. I saw a Red Tail Hawk, and a Blue Heron near and on the Lake last week. Happy birding John Martino Bronx, NY --
