There doesn't seem to be a pattern to their appearances at this point - or
maybe it's changed. I was there early yesterday and they weren't. On my
arrival, I was briefly fooled by a Broad-winged Hawk landing in the usual
tree. The park manager came along and said the kites hadn't been seen for
four days. So at 8:15, I moved on to other things. I later heard that they
showed up at 8:30 and stayed until 10 or so. I also returned for the late
afternoon vigil. They didn't. I had to settle for a near adult Bald Eagle
flying low over the parking lot.
