I can't resist a slightly off-topic local marine mammal report. Patricia's cousins are making a third bid to row around Long Island non-stop and unaided, in support of Suffolk County United Veterans. Last year we saw them off Moriches Inlet, shortly before they broke an oarlock and had to give up their effort; on Monday, we got some photos of them going strong past Fire Island Inlet:
