Marine Nature Study Area, Oceanside; 5 June

Arrived just before the full moon high tide. The marsh was completely flooded,
even encroaching over the paths preventing access to the pool at the south of
the property. Any nests started by rails or sparrows early would have been
completely inundated. The good news was a singing MARSH WREN in the marsh
elder shrubs and phragmites by the bulk headed area along the main trail.
