Date: Friday, 1 June 2012 (12:35p-5:55p) Location: Bryant Park - between 40th & 42nd St. off 6th Ave. Observers: Danielle Gustafson (lunch hour), Ben Cacace Reported by: Ben Cacace
This is longest time I've spent in Bryant Park for a day and I was surprised to pull out 13 species. The first 5 species were seen in the first hour. It took an additional 2 hours to get from #5 to #6. The activity was spread throughout the park with warblers on both sides of the library. None of the warbler sightings appear to be out of date based on eBird.org for New York City < http://bit.ly/LUpvwh >. The SWAMP SPARROW, seen in the border garden south of the Great Lawn, is the only bird that seems a tad late.
