The RED-THROATED LOON was sitting on the water just east of Pier 107 off
107th Street at 3:30p. It was a short viewing window as I lost it around 5
minutes later while scanning for ducks.

A RED-TAILED HAWK was seen twice. First was from the pier looking west as
it headed south at a low altitude. Later on I spotted another moving from
the east heading towards Manhattan. Both sightings were of "local"
Red-tailed(s).

The RUDDY DUCKS were most numerous on the south side of the pier. The total
number along the East River walk was close to 150 including approximately
20+ females.

** Total species - 13 **
