A few hours of birding before the snow this morning yielded the previously
reported immature Black-Headed Gull on the Veterans Memorial Pier at the
foot of Bay Ridge Av., near Owls Head Park in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. Among
the 250 or so Ring-Billed Gulls on the pier were seven oiled Ring-bills and
one oiled Bonaparte's Gull. A search for the immature male King Eider at
Ft. Tilden and Riis Park, Queens, was unsuccessful. But there were 3
Razorbills on the water at Ft. Tilden.

Two Common Ravens flew by the intersection of Union Turnpike and Austin St,
Forest Hills, Queens around 7 a.m.. This is 0.7 miles from the nest site.
