Some Blue-winged Teal have been well observed in recent days at Staten Island New York City & just this Tuesday (April 6, 2010) morning at Prospect Park Brooklyn... just to name 2 southeasterly sites in NY state.

On a separate FRIENDLY note I'd offer that anyone reporting a Northern Waterthrush on this date or before in NY state ought be prepared to PROVE it, that is prove it not a Louisiana Waterthrush... an excellent description will suffice, or excellent photos.

It is getting pretty warm though!

good spring observations to all,

Tom Fiore,
Manhattan
