Subject: Some Beautiful Birds and Beasts of Australia
           
This presentation comprises select photographs of wildlife taken during a photo 
tour of five Australian states and territories in November and December of 
2006. In four weeks, Dr. Bondi visited very diverse habitats, including 
temperate Sydney Botanic Gardens, Queensland Rainforest, Kangaroo Island off 
the coast of South Australia, desert around Alice Springs and Uluru in the 
Northern Territory, Lady Elliot Island, a Coral Cay with nesting seabirds at 
the southern end of the Great Barrier Reef and a very drought-ridden 
Deniliquin, inland in southeastern New South Wales.         
 
Ardith Bondi received her Ph.D. in Pharmacology in 1976 from Columbia 
University. She is currently a member of the Linnaean Society and has served on 
the Council.
 
            The meeting is open to the public, without charge. Please join us 
for what promises to be a very exciting talk. Enter the Museum at West 77th 
Street. If you would like to meet Dr. Bondi prior to the talk, join us a 
Pappardella's Restaurant, 75th Street and Columbus Avenue at 6 p.m. The 
reservation will be in the name of Alice.
