Hi All,

The Swallow-tailed Kite continued today at the Wallkill NWR about 5 mi.
south of the NYS line. The bird was first found perched today on a snag where
it was observed for about an hour. In late morning, the bird took flight and
continued hunting throughout the day providing great views. This is the fourth
consecutive day the bird has been observed.

Although I would love to have viewed the bird 5 mi. to the north, it is
certainly a wonderful sight anywhere.
