Hey folks,

I shared this with SCOTRUG but didn't hear anything so I thought I'd share
it with you lovely people.

I've been lurking on this list for a while (I think I joined up after I
moved to West Cumbria nearly 15~ years ago). It turns out Cumbria to
Manchester is a bit of a trip, so I never actually made it down to a meet.
Now that I'm back in Scotland, I feel a bit rude posting this here, but
here goes.

SendOwl helps creators and businesses sell and securely deliver digital
products. We’re hiring a contract Rails dev to support our primary engineer
(me!) on a large, “railsy” production app.

*You’ll:* own end-to-end features, improve reliability, review PRs/pair,
and spot smart product/system wins across a small, collaborative org.

*Must-haves:* 3–4+ yrs Ruby on Rails (prod), RSpec (tests must pass to
merge), Git, solid HTML/CSS/JS. Comfortable working without a designer when
needed. Strong written & verbal English.

*Nice:* React (working knowledge+), AWS/Cloudflare, e-commerce or “sold
your own thing” experience, pragmatic use of AI without trading quality.

*Contract:* Full time hours (remote), Time-zone overlap with GMT/ET.

*Apply:* [email protected] with your GitHub/LinkedIn and 2–3 shipped Rails
features you’re proud of and of course, your rates.

We don’t need help from recruiters, thanks.

If you’ve any general questions about working at SendOwl I can answer them
here, or if you want the Good gossip you can drop me an email directly (the
one I'm posting with, not the apply@ address above).

Thanks!

Andrew
