About us, Beatroot Music

Beatroot is an all-powerful catalogue management tool for the music industry; 
Beatroot automatically tags metadata for tracks and  artists using algorithms 
and the industry's data in order to improve the process of finding, curating 
and sharing music. All this is presented with a beautiful and powerful 
interface. We are a collaboration between record labels and developers, and our 
simple, powerful platform has one purpose: empower music and sync managers.

Role responsibilities​:

A successful candidate will be working alongside a team of engineers to build 
and maintain new features for our catalogue management platform as well as 
build new products to enrich our customer's experience who are using our main 
product. We focus our efforts on building a flexible set of tools that can plug 
in to our core API and the data it serves. Our weapons of choice include Ruby 
on Rails, Node.js and React.

Required experience​:

- 3-5+ years of web development experience
- Solid Ruby programming skills
- Working knowledge of design patterns like MVC

​
Bonus points:

​- Familiarity with the Ruby on Rails framework and its architecture
- Understanding and practice of Unix methodology and DRY principle
- Experience with JavaScript and/or JS frameworks i.e. React.js
- Experience with Elastic Search/SOLR
- Experience with systems administration i.e. Linux stack/AWS/Heroku or Docker

​Our office is based in Macclesfield but we offer the option to work from home

Salary ranging between 30-45k per year depending on experience
