Job posts have always proved very divisive here, hence the need for guidelines. 
Unfortunately, too often replies have tended towards unhelpful snark and 
recruiter baiting. The rule is there to prevent this and help keep the tone of 
the list positive and constructive.

It might be a bit of a sledgehammer approach, but it's the easiest way to avoid 
some of the unhelpful and off-putting discussions that often cropped up.
