Hi All, One of my old clients is looking to recruit a Ruby developer. Here is the job spec:
-- Due to urgent client demand we have a vacancy for a Full Stack Ruby developer who is required to take ownership of our latest product, a sophisticated CRM system which is presently in the final stages of acceptance testing for phase 1 of the development. The role will involve taking ownership of the product from our existing team and moving forward to completion of phase 2, rollout and general release to our user base. We are looking for individual to fill a permanent leadership position within our company, build their own team and lead our development resource within the UK. Our stack includes Ruby, Rails 3, MySQL, Sphinx, jQuery/ jQuery UI, Neo4J and Git, the app is Javascript and Ajax heavy. We are hosted on Ubuntu servers at brightbox. Our principle product is a mature (4+ years) RoR online document sharing and project management application, similar to base camp. ( www.collabor8online.co.uk). We are a small, privately owned enterprise with ambitions for growth. Initially, it is intended that the role will be remote based, with meetings in and around the Manchester area, (we want to know what you're doing, but we will leave you alone to do it!) although migration to a central office location within the first year is anticipated. We are looking for a proven track record and Ideally 2 years commercial experience, but we are happy to accept someone of less experience who is looking to grow into the role, salary of circa £30k, dependent on the person! ------ I'll be at NWRUG tonight. If you are interested come and chat to me then or ping me an email and I will pass on the details.
