Dear NWRUGers

For the first time, the one and only NHS Hack Day is coming to Manchester!

It's on the Saturday 12th and sunday 13th September 2015 and it's going to
be held in Ziferblat Edge Street, Northern Quarter:
http://www.ziferblat.co.uk/edgestmanchester.html

On the Saturday morning participants 'pitch' their ideas and NHS problems
to the audience of Health IT specialists, developers, patients and
clinicians. They then form organically into teams and spend the rest of the
weekend hacking solutions to these problems. On the Sunday hacking
continues until the afternoon, then the solutions are presented to the
judges. There are prizes for the best 3 projects.

I'm sure that many NWRUGers would already be familiar with the Hack Day
format - NHS Hack Day is similar but is NOT an overnight hack weekend, we
very definitely break at about 5-6pm on the Saturday and go to the pub and
get some food!

It's a great way to get involved in Healthcare IT, to have a good sociable
and exhilarating weekend, and to use your developer talents for the benefit
of the NHS.
