Hi Mark,

As somebody who's been through that whole entry-level business in the last few
years I can only speak from my own experience at the time, but it's worth first
getting yourself up to at least a competent junior level as either a back-end
(ruby/some other lang) or front-end (javascript, html, css, graphic design)
dev. Then you'll have a wider pool of entry-level jobs to apply for (front and
back end), as well as benefit from the fact that there are more junior jobs
than entry-level.

My first rails dev job initially was mostly graphic design, javascript and user
interface design. I was skeptical about taking it at the time, but Tekin
pointed out that you learn so much once you're doing code (javascript/ruby or
whatever lang) every day that you can easily move at a later date; that job
ultimately did gravitate toward the back end after a while to mostly writing
ruby 9-5.

What I'm saying is, find a job and learn on the job; forget further study
unless it's building other, more ambitious projects of your own.

As for finding jobs, one I found through a NWRUG-affiliated business meetup and
the other I found through NWRUG.

Not sure how helpful this is, but eh, good luck man.
A
