This month we have a double-whammy of an event for NWRUG at MadLab. First up, we're holding a special Ruby/Rails drop-in session/surgery from 6pm. This is aimed at absolutely anyone: Maybe you're just learning Ruby and need a little help? Maybe you're a more seasoned developer who is after some guidance on a particular problem? Maybe you know nothing about Ruby and just want to check it out! This session will run from 6pm and Myself, Will Jessop, Sean Handley, and anyone else who wants to help out will be there to impart our epic Ruby wisdom ;).
Secondly, we have a talk on Test Driven Puppet Development by Matt House (@eightbitraptor) at 7pm. Puppet is a system configuration, er, system written in Ruby and Matt is going to show us how you can build your Puppet manifests in total confidence by testing the heck out of them. Refreshments this month are kindly sponsored by On The Beach. Full details can be found here: http://nwrug.org/events/test-driven-puppet-development-by-matt-house/ Please can you all do your best to spread the word about our drop-in session, especially to those that are new to Ruby or are looking to get into it. The aim is to try and make NWRUG more accessible to beginners and help grow our numbers beyond the suspects.
