Hi All,

Engine Yard (http://www.engineyard.com) are looking to boost the numbers of the
EU Application Support Team.

Basic skills:

- Experience building and deploying Ruby on Rails applications.
- Have experience using most of the technologies in our stack:
http://www.engineyard.com/technology/stack
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Feel at home doing sysadmin type stuff.
- The ability to type "/play yeah" into Campfire.

Bonus skills:

- Have deployed high traffic applications
- Expert knowledge of a handful of our technology stack
- Basic knowledge of DNS, CDN, load balancing, firewalls, VPNs, SMTP, SSL, etc
- You are able to multitask and prioritize multiple incoming requests without
freaking out and/or dropping one of the balls.
- You consider yourself well-rounded, enjoy learning new things, and can pursue
answers/solutions on your own.
- You are ready to step up your skill set and work with some of the brightest
minds in Ruby and Rails.

The current team includes myself, Tim Littlemore and Adam Holt, all from in and
around Manchester, and Mutwin Kraus from Dusseldorf (I think). We meet up and
work (and drink) semi regularly from Manchester, which generally involves
working from Starbucks in the morning and then from Common in the afternoon.
Then, more than likely, a post-work visit to Port Street Beer House.

Benefits of the job include:

- A good wage
- Work from home
- Semi flexible with the hours
- One conference trip a year (paid)
- Annual meetups at EY HQ in San Francisco
- Loads of other stuff

If you're interested or have any questions, contact either myself, Tim or Adam.

Cheers,

Jim
