Hi Ian (et. al.), Survey results are in a list of things to get done this weekend (as well as building my business partner's latest crazy idea for a site).
Obviously we've decided to go ahead. Got a team of keen peeps at OTB working on a Rails-based conference engine (that isn't running 2.1). Then we can start blogging properly and keeping people up to date with what we're doing. I've been approaching speakers (and some folk have, bless them, come forward). There will also be a call for papers in the next few weeks. Got an SEO working Facebook and Twitter for us so you may have been followed, thanks for following back. Those who responded to the survey and said they'd like to help (or sponsor) will be contacted soon (ish), but I had a half dozen keen folks sat next to me at OTB to help me initiate it all. Have no fear, your help will be asked for when we start needing it. For reference the main Con day is Friday 14th October, the meat inside a charity day and dojo sandwich! If we get enough speakers things may move around a little on the Saturday. We've booked The Hive, nice venue that can take our target number of people. We've also booked a bar, for 'networking' :) I will be at Scottish Ruby Con (and Agile North) - already have someone there I need to talk to. Really excited about the con and want it to be a good community event we can all get behind and enjoy. If you haven't already done the survey please go to http://www.magrails.com and fill it in.
