I don't have any respect for recruiters 'hanging out' in channels like this
sniping on developer conversations, asking for a CV, deleting the contact
details and then forwarding to the client in question take a 25% slice of
the salary for the cheek of it.

Yes there are better, legitimate, and more genuine ways to make an honest
living from recruitment, this is not one of them.
