This Saturday - a few of us are getting together to work on a coding project to use Manchester Council's website to: "find out further information on the activity of Councillors, using a Minute Scraper as a basis for a Meeting Attendee List and moving on from that."
The project is called: MCC-Work-For-You ( http://code.google.com/p/mcc-work-for-you/w/list ) We made some progress at the last event, and everyone went away motivated to do more. We'd like further contributors. We'd like you to attend and help produce some code. Additionally we're collaborating with the National Hack The Government day, and hope to either add a Government aspect to the current project, or add an additional coding stream should there be plenty of attendees. So if you have time this Saturday between 11am and 6pm, (we're meeting in Central Manchester, and you want to get involved, please drop me an email. The Year Of Collaboration now has it's own website at http://tyoc.co.uk which you can access the sign up page for this Saturday via. Places are limited, and therefore booking is advised. If you have other ideas for collaborative projects please get in touch.
